Now that we're stuck at home, it's time to furnish your home office and reinvent your interior. For many, the home workplace is also the place where we do yoga, dry the laundry, play games, repot plants, eat, ... So it is not easy to create a quiet environment where you can focus on your job. Discover how to bring calm and order to that multifunctional space. It is not in vain anyway, because in the future we will increasingly work from home!
It is important to provide your home office with a spacious desk and comfortable chair . You can miss back pain! Ideally, the chair can be adjusted in height. Your desk should fit one or more external screens, a keyboard, maybe even a printer. Conclusion: you need quite a bit of space! Desk Philip is practical and a delight to the eye. You have enough space to place your extra screen and to store some smaller items. Yet this desk is compact enough to fit in a smaller home.
Table Sophia is also an option to consider. With a width of 1m80 you certainly have enough space to work and display your accessories. This table, which can serve as a desk, is unique in its simplicity and radiates tranquility. Just what you need when you need to concentrate on work!
The Grace table is a third option. Honest, natural materials together form a beautiful combination. A sleek design ensures that your workplace immediately looks orderly.
You need enough bright light while working. Bright sunlight is not recommended, because then you can no longer see your screen properly. No daylight at all is therefore not recommended. A north-facing window provides the best light to work in. It is also important to have oblique light: a window on the side instead of directly behind the screen. In combination with a desk lamp, you will be able to concentrate optimally. A standing lamp next to your desk is also an option. Do you work late? Then a good desk lamp is indispensable.
You have undoubtedly brought a lot of things home from work and you like to have them within reach. Piling all this up on your desk is not done, because you are striving for simplicity and tranquility. A home office needs storage space. A sufficiently large cupboard in which you can store everything neatly is necessary. Consider, for example, a wall rack in which you can place boxes with things. Using the same boxes ensures uniformity. Mix and match is therefore not an issue here! You can store small items in those boxes without them disturbing or the wall rack looking untidy.
TIP : Don't feel like a mess of cables? Then use a basket to store them in it and place it under your desk.
A home office should not only be comfortable and practical, but also pleasant. It is not for nothing that companies integrate cozy coffee areas in their employees' workplaces. Having fun makes you feel better and work more efficiently. If you have to look at ugly wallpaper or cluttered cupboards for hours, you cannot concentrate. Providing decoration for your workplace is therefore also an important to do. Put one rug down, put some wall art on your walls or put a photo frame of your friends in front of you to dream away from time to time on those nice trips from the past (but not too much of course ;) ).
Also provide a seat or armchair in your home office so that you can relax once in a while. This way you can take a relaxing break and drink a coffee, without getting out of the working atmosphere. You can also change places and continue working in the armchair: alternating and moving is the message!
Plants are also a welcome cozy aspect. They bring peace and reduce stress levels. Fresh and dried flowers can also work wonders.
